- If 300 mice had escaped and were running around a pet shop where I worked. First thing I would do is get out of there as soon as possible! Then, I would think of a brilliant plan. If the mice are already out, Why not let the cats out as well? Maybe a few snakes? That will take care of the rats! In a state of panic and confusion I would carry out my brilliant plan. Obviously it was not a brilliant plan. In this hypothetical situation, I now have a bunch of dead mice, blood thirsty cats and a few snakes all around the pet shop, where unfortunately I will probably never work again....hypothetically.
