The Best Day

It is essential for this post to mention that, in my middle school years, I was obsessed with Twilight, and if I could go back in time to have a talk with my thirteen year old self, I would definitely be annoyed, and probably smack myself for being so obsessive, but then again, the best day of my life may have never happened.
It all started when I went with my mom to visit my brother, David, who lived on the outskirts of Detroit. I knew the journey would be a few hours long so I took the book with me that I was reading at the time (Eclipse) to read in the car. It was a quick, no questions asked decision to actually spend the weekend with my brother and niece, but I missed him, so when he invited me to stay longer, I jumped at the opportunity. Besides, David was the cool brother that would take me places, and not just make me go play outside or sit down.
All I can remember is going to bed late that night after my mom left, and then waking up around eight on the couch to my brother talking on the phone. He was talking to his girlfriend about going to the Monroe County Mall, but soon asked me what the doctor's name was off of Twilight. My interests peaked instantly, and I told him that the guy who played Carlisle Cullen was Peter Facinelli  when I asked why, he told me that there was no specific reason, except that his girlfriend's sister was talking about him. He made me hurry to get dressed and ready for the day, and told me that we had a lot to do but that we had to make a trip to the mall first.
When we got to the mall, the lines were crazy long, people were waiting outside of the entire building. My brother walked me toward the ebterence and told me that his girlfriend and her sister were waiting for us.
Long story short, my brother surprised me with meeting Peter Facinelli. It took eight hours, and almost 3 cancelations, but I finally for to meet him.
I actually met him twice that day. Once was when I went to take a bathroom break and stopped in Aeropostale. He was on his way in from taking a breather and he asked me if I wanted his autograph. He signed my book Eclipse and then my mom called in the middle if him giving me a hug. After that, I got back in line and met him on stage where he was signing photographs for charity.
I just feel like it was the best day, not because I got to meet someone famous, but because I got a surprise of a lifetime from my brother. .
