Week 2 - Refection
At the beginning of this week we had inverse functions. I wasn't every confident I could do any problem Mr. Jackson gave us. I could do the easy ones but anything more than just looking at the functions given, I couldn't do. Mr. Jackson said in class that if we know the process then we can do any of the problems. So when I went home I tried to understand the process. Why we did them in the order we did. When I realized that all we were really doing was solving for X and getting both on the same side it made a lot more sense to me. I couldn't see this in class that we just kept doing the same thing. I went home and changed some of the numbers in the problems we had and solved them. it took a whole page of changing the numbers to realize I was doing the exact same thing. For me personally, I didn't see it until I looked back at my page of practice problems. So if I understand the steps I don't need a lot of practice problems but if I don't know the steps the repetition helps.
