Xiuwen and Lydia's DEV project

Lydia's Reflection: I chose these concepts in the problems because it involved all the units. For example, question 2 involves everything, in all the units, we learned in class except a small handful of concepts. These problems are the best problems to overview because these were challenging to make, but once we got done they seemed easier, probably because we went through them so often. I did learn how much thought goes through some problems. Like I made question 2 and it was difficult to just make the problem. First I had to make the factored version and then distribution it. Then after putting it under a radical and then in a rational. All that work to just take it out. Seemed pointless. But it felt good to make a problem that I was proud of.

Xiuwen's Reflection: I choose the concepts that I didn't understand the most throughout the whole trimester. Some of the problems are similar to the extra credit from unit tests. I want to take more time and try to solve the problems that I didn't understand or didn't have enough time to work on. I think by recreating the problems, I get a better understanding of how to solve it. Mr. Jackson also show me ways to solve from the things l've understood and expand a little. The problems shows what I've struggle on and what I did great at. I think the project is a great way to reflect the trimester and it is really fun to "act like a teacher" and try to teacher people to solve it. The project can also teach students different ways to solve a problem and view the problem in a different perspective.
